A seventh-generation North Carolinian, Parker is active in the region, serving on an advisory board for Carolina Friends School, and is involved with TFDA, the Triangle Flying Disc Association, and folks that love ultimate frisbee. He recently moved back to Durham after a stint in Washington, D.C.
