I was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California at Dominican Hospital. We have such a diverse community and there is almost every walk of life here. I have seen and known people from all economic levels (poor and rich), races, cultures, ages, religious and spiritual beliefs, political beliefs, and sexual preferences. Because of this exposure I realized that all people basically have the same needs for love and acceptance.

I've worked many different jobs and professions. This has allowed me to understand not only the nature of the work, but also what different people have to go through for income to take care of themselves and their families. My co-workers, friends, and clients have all had their different opinions about life and relationships, and I am grateful to have learned from every one of them.

I have met and personally known homeless people, corporate CEOs, political activists and demonstrators, peace officers, alcoholics, drug users, spiritual leaders, philanthropists, celebrities, criminals, and many business owners. All of these various relationships helped me to better understand how people relate to one another.

I sincerely hope that by reading the information on this website, it can help you understand our diverse community, and inspire you to explore new places, or find some exciting treasures off the beaten path. You will find out why the bumper stickers say, "Keep Santa Cruz Weird".

Love and Light,
Ernest
