Describe Bill Bishop here

A Lansing native, Bishop graduated from Lansing Sexton High School in 1952.
After attending Oberlin College and serving 3 years in the U.S. Army, he graduated from the University of Michigan in 1962.
From 1962 to 1969, Bill was employed by WPAG-AM (now WTKA). He then moved across town to WAAM to host the morning show and serve as the station's sports director after the departure of Larry Zimmer in 1971.
Bishop was radio voice of various U of M sports teams at WAAM. He participated in the radio and TV broadcasts of NCAA championship events in basketball, baseball (EMU), hockey, and the 1977 Rose Bowl all in one year.
In 1978, he moved to Norfolk, VA to become the radio voice of the Tidewater Tides AAA baseball team. He retired from Norfolk's WNIS in 1997, where he was Sports and Production Director, as well as co-anchor of the morning news.
He remained a Virginia resident the rest of his life. He enjoyed singing in barbershop quartets and was a frequent winner in karaoke club competitions, where he was known as "Bill B."
Recovering from a breakthrough bout with COVID, Bishop suffered a stroke, and never recovered.
