Camp Davis is a University of Michigan teaching and research facility in Jackson, Wyoming. Geologist Joel D. Blum is director.
An abandoned ranch in a sheltered Wyoming valley with mountain vistas and clear streams seemed an ideal spot for U-M's summer surveying camp back in 1929, when it became necessary to relocate the facility from northern Michigan. The Board of Regents approved the purchase of 120 acres for $2,500, crude cabins were erected, and the Camp Davis Rocky Mountain Field Station was born.
