Clint Castor (Sonny), age 68, passed away on September 15, 2008 in New Port Riche, FL. He was born July 6, 1940 in Ypsilanti, MI to Clinton E. Castor Sr. and Helen M. Castor . He graduated from Pioneer High School in 1959 and went on to study at Michigan State University's School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. He served his country in the Michigan Army National Guard from 1962-1967 and was federalized during the Detroit Riots. From his father, he assumed ownership of the Pretzel Bell Restaurant on Liberty Street in Ann Arbor, built the Village Bell on South University in Ann Arbor and the Pretzel Bell in East Lansing. Later, he owned and operated Cut and Care Landscaping in Palm Harbor, Florida. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed his many pool side friendships. He is dearly missed by his wife, Nancy Milby Castor of New Port Riche, FL, daughter, Shelley Woodrich of Ann Arbor, son Todd Castor (Nicole) of Howell, daughter Megan Uphoff (Matt) of Milford, step-son Josh Scott of Holiday, FL, and six grandchildren, Joseph, Connor, Carlie, Sydnie, Anna and Tyler. He is also survived by his sister Connie and brother in-law Bob Cullum, nieces, former wife Geri and a community of family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Washtenong Memorial Park on November 29. Contributions in his memory may be made to Gulfside Regional Hospice House at Sunset Bay.
