Danielle Natalie Mack was a candidate for Washtenaw County Commission for the 10th District in 2010.

She has served on the Board of Directors for MISSION (Michigan Itinerant Shelter System - Interdependent Out of Necessity). She also served on the Board of Directors for Groundcover News, the new paper for the homeless that put out its first issue July 2010. She has been active with Delonis Center (Ann Arbor's homeless shelter) off and on for the past three years.  She graduated from Washtenaw Community College May 7, 2012 with honors as a member of Kappa Delta Pi - International Honors Society for Education with her associate's degree in elementary education.  Danielle immediately transferred to Eastern Michigan University where she majored in special education - hearing impaired.  In the winter of her Junior year at Eastern she then met and married her wife Shelley Jo Shuford.  Danielle is now Mrs. Danielle Shuford and is living in San Francisco, Ca. with her wife and son.  Danielle currently works for the Department of Homeland Security and is pursuing promotions to bring her back to her beloved Michigan.

February 9, 2016 Danielle's loving wife Shelley Jo passed away due to heart failure.  Danielle has plans to take back her maiden name of Mack soon.
