Geoff Larcom, a native Ann Arborite, has over 30 years experience working as an editor and reporter for local print and online newspapers. Geoff was the sports editor at The Ann Arbor News for 12 years and switched to covering higher education for the newspaper from 2000 to 2009. Most recently, he was a columnist for AnnArbor.com. Eastern Michigan University named Geoff executive director of media relations in 2009. In 2008-09, Larcom was a Knight Wallace Fellow at the University of Michigan. The fellowship program invites 20 or so journalists from around the world for a year of study and growth at U-M.

Geoff's father, Guy Larcom, served as Ann Arbor's first city manager, from 1956 to 1973. The town's city hall is named after him.

Geoff is married to Kristen Larcom Senior Assistant City Attorney for the city of Ann Arbor.
