George Dunbar is a venture partner at Arboretum Ventures and the former CEO of Aastrom Biosciences, a public traded biotech company.

Dunbar has served as CEO and in management positions for companies including Cytotherapeutics, Stem Cells Inc., Metra Biosystems, Epic Therapeutics, Targesome Inc., and Quantum Dot Corporation. In July 2006, he took the CEO position at Aastrom - a company that develops autologous stem cell research for regenerative medicine.
