Hillside Terrace is a retirement community and assisted living facility off Jackson Road in Ann Arbor's west side. The facility is adjacent to an apple orchard.

History
Hillside Terrace was built between June 1968 and October 1969 by Michigan Baptist Homes and Development Company at a cost of $2.7 million dollar as a home for the aged. There were at the time 55 one and two bedroom apartments and a 23-bed health center which was licensed as a nursing home.
A 1976 case, MICHIGAN BAPTIST HOMES & DEVELOPMENT COMPANY v. CITY OF ANN ARBOR, asked the city to provide a tax exemption for the property as a non-profit, upon the reasoning that the Anna Botsford Bach Home, which is owned and occupied by the Old Ladies Home Association of Ann Arbor, received such an exemption. The court found that Hillside Terrace did not qualify for tax advantaged treatment because it served the elderly who were more well-off.
