Jeremy Gold is the former head football coach at Pioneer High School; he left that position in 2011 to take a job at Morgan Park High School in Chicago.

The circumstances surrounding Gold's departure from Pioneer are still unclear. When asked about rumors of a football coaching opening earlier this month, Pioneer athletic director Lorin Cartwright would not comment directly, stating in an e-mail, "you can watch the Ann Arbor Public Schools employment website. If there is an opening for football coaches it will be found there."
