Madras Masala was an Indian restaurant at 328 Maynard Street, serving both North and South Indian food. It had a lunch buffet Mon-Fri, noon-3pm for $9.50.
The restaurant burned in a fire on January 20, 2023. "Gopal Ramanujam, owner of Madras Masala, said has no plans to launch a GoFundMe or any similar request. He also plans to reopen when he can," wrote MLive in a 23 January 2023 story about the fire..

Ann Arbor has a lot of Indian restaurants. More than one South Indian restaurants. Basically, Madras Masala is great South Indian food. I lived in India twice for a few months (mostly in the south) and really love getting to be around this great authentic food here in Ann Arbor.
