Owner and operator of Monahan's Seafood Market in Kerrytown since 1979, Mike Monahan originally started the business with Paul Saginaw, one of the Zingerman's partners..

He and the Zingerman's team occasionally collaborate on projects such as seafood special dinners at Zingerman's Roadhouse. Mike also puts together classes with M-Fit on a fairly regular basis.

Monahan was trained as a graphic artist, and has no formal culinary education. He grew up on Lake St. Clair, near Detroit.

He is married to Lisa Monahan, a photographer. Her business is Lisa Monahan Photography, and she shoots the promotional photos for Monahan's Seafood Market.
