The United Methodist Retirement Communities are senior living centers in Dexter and Chelsea. They include The Pines, Silver Maples of Chelsea, and Chelsea Retirement Community in Chelsea, and The Cedars of Dexter in Dexter.

United Methodist Retirement Communities (UMRC) was founded in 1906 by Methodist church leaders and laymen who saw the need for an alternative means of caring for “the lonely aged.”
