Wendy Rampson is the Planning Manager in the Ann Arbor City Planning Division at the City of Ann Arbor, a position she's held since 2010. She oversees the city's planning staff and is the main liaison with the Ann Arbor planning commission. From 2009-2010 she was Interim Planning & Development Services Manager. She has worked for the city since 1987.
Prior to becoming planning manager, Rampson was a systems planner for the city from 2004-2009. She worked as a city planner from 1987-2003, and was Interim Community Development Director from 2003-2004.
Rampson also has been an adjunct lecturer in the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. She holds two degrees from UM – an undergraduate degree in urban studies, and a masters degree in urban planning.

Rampson is married to Phil Gage. They live in Ann Arbor in the Allmendinger Park neighborhood, near Michigan Stadium – she frequently rides her bike or walks to city hall. She's also a recreational hockey player.
