William L. Walz was a banker and the mayor of Ann Arbor from 1909 to 1913.

In 1917 he was Assistant Cashier of the Ann Arbor Savings Bank and lived at 928 S State St.

In 1912 he held that same title and lived at 622 W. Liberty St.

In 1907 he was Senior Warden of Fraternity Lodge No. 262.
