Chico State students have the opportunity to live in campus provided housing, on or off campus. See the CSUC Housing page for more information. In addition, there are privately owned dormitory options that are not associated with the university.

University Village
The University Village is university owned housing but is located on Nord Ave. about .7 miles from campus. Most students that live here either ride the free bus that comes every 1/2 an hour, ride their bikes, walk to campus, or longboard.
Privately Owned Residence Halls
These options are available to students, but are not owned by the university.
Residence Hall Association
The Residence Hall Association is a nationwide student run organization that represents students living in university-owned housing. Here at California State University, Chico, there are over 1,900 residents housed in the residence communities. One of the largest student-run organizations on campus, RHA strives to represent, confront concerns and issues, as well as provides for the residents of university-owned housing.
Chico RHA also is recognized both regionally (Pacific Association of Colleges and Residence Halls) and nationally (National Association of Colleges and Residence Halls) through annual conferences. Some of the programs put on by RHA this past year include Sex Olympics, a program educating residents on sex and the consequences of unsafe sex. Get in Gear for Next Year, allowing residents to see housing options and tips for jobs for life outside the residence halls. As well as an annual holiday dinner put for the hall councils in recognition for their hard work throughout the year. These programs, which are initiated, run, and funded by the residents, are well received and enjoyed by the students of each living community.http://www.csuchico.edu/housing/rha/
