Chico Fire Department Station 5 is located adjacent to both Wildwood Park and Upper Park. The station houses Engine 5 (their primary engine), Engine 5R (a type-3 brush engine), Truck 5 (a 100' ladder with a 2000GPM pump), Utility 5, and Breathing Support 5 (which provides a mobile fill station for firefighter's air bottles). One of Chico's busier stations, this station made 2,172 runs in 2007. The station also houses the department's own restored American La France horse-drawn Steam Fire Engine #2.
