Miniature Golf is an outdoor activity that is ideal for the less athletically gifted or someone looking for a laid-back afternoon. It's also a great place to take a date when the weather is good. Chico has only one miniature golf course, which is located at CalSkate. Putter's (as the golf portion of CalSkate is known) was established in 2003, filling the miniature golf gap that was created when Chico Fun World closed in 1995. For a short time, there was an indoor miniature golfing venue on East Avenue known as the Putt Putt Hut, but that closed its doors in 2007 after a short business life. In addition, Lion's Den Miniature Golf once existed on Nord Avenue in West Chico.
