Park Plaza Shopping Center is one of the larger shopping centers in Central Chico. It has gone through many changes over the years, as several stores and restaurants have come and gone. Some of the stores have called it home for a long time, such as Safeway and Rite Aid (previously Thrifty), although they have moved around the complex before settling on their current locations. The Safeway gas station is a more recent addition, and the entire shopping center has gone through some remodeling to get to its current state.
