A proposed high school to be housed at Crockett Career and Technical Center. Announced 31 May 2011 in partnership with the Detroit Medical Center and the Wayne State University School of Medicine. Students will concentrate on medical fields, and will also have access to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute and the Kresge Eye Institute.
Admission to the school is by application only. 125 students will be admitted in the first year. The school will begin with freshmen and add a grade each year. Brenda Belcher is the first principal.
The school is funded in large part by Michigan Future Inc.'s Michigan Future Schools program, which aims to open four new schools. The second school announced at the same time is Detroit Collegiate Prep — Diplomas Now/Michigan Future High School.
