Michigan Community Resources (aka MCR, formerly Community Legal Resources) provides assistance to community organizations in Michigan area. They help organizations with economic development, legal services, and technical assistance. Technical assistance often means collecting and working with data (similar to what Data Driven Detroit does). They had a listed staff of around 14 in May 2012. 

Their projects have often focused on neighborhoods, housing, and built environments. They have helped with foreclosure assistance, including prevention and responses. They are working with the Detroit Crime Commission to tackle bad property owners.
