Aka WAA. A economic and community development nonprofit. Represents 27 miles of Woodward, from the Detroit River north through the Woodward Loop in Pontiac. Formed in 1995 by local governments to coordinate a economic development and planning study. Advocates in part for transit-oriented development.

Represents Detroit, Highland Park, Ferndale, Pleasant Ridge, Huntington Woods, Berkley, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Royal Oak, Bloomfield Township and Pontiac, plus Oakland and Wayne counties. Supported by dues from over 300 organizations in 2011.

In June 2011, a $15,000 Urban Land Institute Community Action Grant was awarded to study transit-oriented development possibilities in south Oakland County as part of the Transform Woodward: Woodward Avenue Linear City project.
