Obituaries Adolph Effenbach

Adolph Effenbach, owner of the Oxford Market in Saranac Lake since 1923, died Tuesday at Physician's Hospital in Plattsburgh.

Mr. Effenbach was born in Riga-Latvia on Sept. 27, 1884, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Effenbach. He had worked in his store until last week. His wife, Frieda Gorfinkle Effenbach, died in October 1968.

Survivors are three daughters, Ruth E. of Saranac Lake, Mrs. Solomon (Maxine) Drutz of New York City, and Mrs Harry (Sylvia) Kroll of Chevy Chase, Md.; a son, Mark, of Saranac Lake; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and five sisters, Mrs. Lena Goldberg, Mrs. Helen Poe, Mrs Ruth Curtis, Mrs. Jean Sisco and Mrs. Annie Shatchman, all of Washington, D. C.

Mr. Effenbach was taken to Washington D. C. for burial in Adas Israel Cemetery there. His family requests that those wishing to remember him make donations to their favorite charity.
