Chiefly known for: On April 29, probably 1931, Miss Alma Higgins directed Miss Alma's Dancing Girls in a Minstrel Review, under the auspices of St. Bernard's Club. Mrs. James Higgins was a member of the Committee on Arrangements, and the program noted: "All the Costumes in this production were designed by Mrs. James Higgins and made under her guidance." Miss Alma's Dancing Girls performed "Walkin' My Baby Back Home."

Miss Marguerite Dysinger was guest of honor at a surprise party given at her home on East Pine street in celebration of her 12th birthday. Elizabeth Evans was awarded the first prize for pinning the tail on the donkey. Doris Green received the consolation prize. Alma Higgins entertained during the evening with an exhibition of the Charleston.
