Alvin Melvin Yell, S. R., son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Yell and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Yell of Lake Colby, has completed his basic training at the Naval Training Center at Great Lakes, Ill. and graduated Jan. 17. Now he will go on to an aviation mechanic's school in Memphis, Tenn. for 15 weeks. He expects to leave Jan. 23.
