SARANAC LAKE - Charles J. Johnston, 76, of 125 Lake Street died Saturday morning at Saranac Lake General Hospital.
Mr. Johnston was born on June 26, 1901, in New York City, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Johnston.
He is survived by his wife, the former Eleanor Bennett and seven nieces and nephews.
He was a resident of Saranac Lake in 1940 and was self-employed as a public accountant for many years. He was a life member of Elk's Lodge 1508.
Friends may call at Fortune Funeral Home at 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today. An Elk's service will be at 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be said Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. at Fortune Funeral Home with the Rev. Timothy Chambers officiating. Interment will be in St. Bernard's cemetery.
