Clara Walter Daniels was a long time employee of Niagara Mohawk in Saranac Lake and of the Ray Brook State Tuberculosis Hospital.

SARANAC LAKE - Clara U. Webb Walter Daniels, 91, formerly of 117 Lake St., Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003 at the William Mansion Nursing Home in Malone.
Born in Malvern, Ark. on Jan. 4, 1912, she was the daughter of George and Beatrice (Arant) Webb.
Mrs. Daniels had been a resident of Saranac Lake since 1930. She had worked at Ray Brook State Hospital for 16 years and for Dr. Jordan for two years. She was later employed in the office at Niagara Mohawk in Saranac Lake for 17 years, retiring in 1974. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Old As You Feel League as well as several others prior to that.
She is survived by three sons: Richard Walter and his fiancée Linda Poupore of Malone, Henry Daniels and his wife Peggy of Columbia, S.C. and Leroy Daniels of Myrtle Beach, NC; two daughters: Donna Wright and her husband William of Cherry Hill, N.J. and Donna Duquette and her husband Gerry of Morrisonville; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Francis Anthony Walter on July 30, 1955; her second husband, Clifford L. Daniels, on June 14, 2001; two brothers, Willie Webb and Gordon Webb; and her sister, Violet Webb Hanus.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12 at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A Bible vigil will be held at 3:45 p.m. Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 13 at St. Bernard's Church with the Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery in Saranac Lake.
Friends wishing to remember Mrs. Daniels may make memorial contributions to the Saranac Lake Adult Center or the Saranac Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad in care of the funeral home.
