Clarence Baker

SARANAC LAKE - Clarence H. Baker of Merrill Street died Sunday evening, August 10, at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.

He was born August 15, 1910, the son of George and Bertha Phillips Baker.

Survivors include three brothers; Evet and Clifford of Saranac Lake and Darwin of Pasadena, California; two sisters; Mrs. Helen Seymour of Saranac Lake and Mrs. Hazel Baker of Lake Clear.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Baker had been a carpenter for the New York State Conservation Department and later at the Merriweather Post Camp, retiring in 1976.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army.

Calling hours will be at the Fortune Funeral Home in Saranac Lake from 3 to 5 and . 7 to 9 p.m., tomorrow.

The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Chatterton, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
