OGDENSBURG - Mrs. Dorothy Scott Kury, 90, of River Road, Morristown, widow of former Adirondack Daily Enterprise owner Frederick H. Kury, died Wednesday, April 16, at Hepburn Hospital in Ogdensburg.

Mrs. Kury was president of the Daily Enterprise in the years her husband owned the Saranac Lake newspaper in the late 1940's and early 1950's.

She was born May 12, 1895, in Steele, N.Dak., the daughter of Daniel and Ellen (Marsh) Barker. The family moved to Chester, Pa., in 1898. She graduated from West Chester State Teachers College and then taught school for several years before moving to Morristown.

She was married April 2, 1918, to Franklin L. Scott, a Morristown attorney, at the Little Church Around the Corner in New York City.

He died in April, 1935.

She married Frederick Kury, a Scripps-Howard Newspapers executive, in March of 1937. They maintained homes in Ohio, Florida and New York.

Mrs. Kury was former president of the Rockville-Morristown Transportation and Ferry Co., of the Ogdensburg Advance News, and of radio station KMLB in Melbourne, Fla.

She was the first woman chairman of the St. Lawrence County Republican Party, and was very active in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Scott Wagner of Sebring, Fla. and Mrs. Richard (Gloria) Scott Johnson of Morristown; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew.

A graveside service has been held at Sunnyside Cemetery in Morristown.

Memorial donations may be made to the Morristown Rescue Squad.

Arrangements were with the Fox Funeral Home in Ogdensburg.
