“DUCK” DERBY DEAD

Millard Derby, a life-long resident of Bloomingdale died at his home in that village Friday afternoon. as the result of heart failure. The deceased was 58 years of age.

"Duck" Derby, as the deceased was known to many followers of the trails near Saranac Inn, was one of the best known of the Adirondack guides in this section. For years he had been following the trails and streams of the great forest and knew intimately every nook and cranny of this territory. Many are the parties of sportsmen he has guided to a successful day's hunt or fishing trip. Mr. Derby is survived by his wife and one son, Duke Derby, also a resident of Bloomingdale.
