Earl A. Arnold was a contractor. He lived at 76 1/2 Bloomingdale Avenue. He was also identified as G. Earl Arnold of Keeseville.  He was a World War II veteran.

SARANAC LAKE - Earl A. Arnold, 78, of 76 1/2 Bloomingdale Ave. died Saturday, March 15, 1997 at the Adirondack Medical Center.

Born March 15, 1919 in Franklin Falls, he was the son of Isaac and Belle (Reed) Arnold.

A life-long resident of the area, Mr. Arnold built 77 homes in Saranac Lake over his lifetime. He was an avid hunter, and guide in his earlier years.

He was a World War II veteran, having served with the U.S. Army in three European campaigns. He was one of the oldest members of the First Presbyterian Church in Saranac Lake.

He was married to the former Ruth Lietzenmayer in 1942. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Earl Brian of Mexico, N.Y., Glenn of Martha's Vineyard, Mass., and Bruce of Lake Clear; two daughters, Carolyn Boggs of Pittsburgh, and Marigold Klein of Willitts, Calif.; two brothers, Ralph of Franklin Falls, and Robert of Willsboro; three sisters, Mary Ford of Clintonville, Ruth Park of Franklin, Ind., and Fannie Johnson of Detroit, Mich.; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Arnold was predeceased by three brothers; Edgar, Isaac Roland, and Delbert; three sisters, Edith Ford, Anna Arnold, and Lillian Serembe.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery in Bloomingdale in May. Contributions in his memory may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home.
