Earl F. Macey, Jr.

Marine Lance Cpl. Earl F. Macey, Jr., formerly of Saranac Lake, died Dec. 31, his 20th birthday, in St. Alban's Hospital, L.I. of wounds received in combat in Vietnam on Aug. 3, 1967.

Cpl. Macey had been transferred from Vietnam to the Long Island hospital in September. He was a 1966 graduate of Beekmantown High School and had attended St. Bernard's School in Saranac Lake. He enlisted in the Marines on Oct. 19, 1966.

Survivors are his parents who now live in Beekmantown; three sisters, Nancy, Cheryl, and Gloria; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Macey; and a number of aunts and uncles in the Saranac Lake area.

The O'Neil Funeral Home in Plattsburgh has charge of arrangements.
