Edna Caroline Petotte cured at Ray Brook Sanatorium as a teenager in the 1930s. She became a laboratory technician at Ray Brook after her recovery. She married James E. LaPan.

SARANAC LAKE - A Mass of the Resurrection was offered this morning at 11:15 at St. Bernard's Church for Edna C. La Pan who died Friday. She was a resident of Shepard Avenue.

Mrs. LaPan was born in Parishville on July 29, 1924, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Petotte. She moved to Saranac Lake from Ogdensburg for her health and was a laboratory technician at Ray Brook prior to her marriage to James E. LaPan, who survives her here.

She had been a member of the Board of Directors of the Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease Association of the Seaway Area.

She is also survived by three daughters, Linda and Katherine of Saranac Lake and Barbara of Utah, one son, Steven of Saranac Lake, and one brother, Gordon Petotte, of France.

Remains reposed in the Keough and Son Memorial Chapels where a Bible Vigil was held Sunday.

Interment will be in the St. Bernard's Cemetery.
