FUNERAL SERVICES FOR FRANK J. DAVIS

The funeral services of Frank J. Davis were held from his late residence, 19 McComb Street, Saranac Lake, and St. Luke's Episcopal church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock.

Mr. Davis died in the Montreal General Hospital early Friday morning after a brief illness. He was one of the few remaining Adirondack guides and woodsmen of the old type. He was known throughout the Adirondacks as an expert fisherman and hunter and was well liked by all who knew him and came in contact with him. He had a host of friends in this community and the Upper Lake region.

Mr. Davis was born in Dannemora, N. Y., 56 years age. He was the son of Oren T. and Louise Davis, and was a brother of the late Henry Davis. The deceased is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Francis Mullen, of Plattsburgh, and two grandchildren.
