From 1939 to 1953, Dr. George W. Wright served as the director of the department of clinical physiology at the Saranac Lake laboratories of the Trudeau Foundation where, among other things, he was instrumental in developing the pulmonary function test used widely to measure lung capacity and ability.

His obituary was published in the Adirondack Daily Enterprise on August 8, 1995.
