Sister, brother Meet in New Guinea

"Two years after they parted in Saranac Lake for service with the Armed Forces, Lieut. Frieda Zerbe and Sgt. Harry Zerbe, [...] brother and sister from this village, met at an advanced base, somewhere in New Guinea.

"In a letter to their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Zerbe, of 60 Petrova Avenue, Sgt. Zerbe wrote that he had located his sister and with a few days furlough traveled to her base, where they spent a many hours together."

Lt. Zerbe was a nurse; Sgt. Zerbe, World War I veteran, was with the Army Signal Corps. A third member of the family, Staff Sgt. Hilbert Zerbe, was serving as a laboratory technician with the Army Medical Corps, at Wheeler, Macon, Ga.
