James McKee Myatt came to Saranac Lake as a young man with tuberculosis, hoping for a "cure"; he had just finished high school. He returned to North Carolina shortly before his death at age 19. His obituary says that he died of a wasting disease. His brother, Ernest Malcolm Myatt also attempted a cure in Saranac Lake.
One or both of them stayed at 11 Park Place.
