Jeanne O. Fisher was the daughter of James and Oda (Brown) Otis. She graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1942. She worked as a bookkeeper for John LaPan's Sons Inc. and the Otis and Elliott general contracting company which later was owned and operated by her husband. She played the organ at the Adirondack Presbyterian Church for many years. Jeanne also served as a tax collector for the town of Harrietstown and was formerly an Avon sales representative. She was a lifelong resident of Lake Clear; she lived at 88 County Route 18 in Lake Clear.
