SARANAC LAKE MAN DEAD IN NOKOMIS
John E. Durgan, for more than 25 years in business in Saranac Lake, died at Nokomis, Saskatchewan, Monday of last week. Mr. Durgan left for Nokomis August 10, apparently in good health and his son, Claude C. Durgan, arrived from that place Monday night, a few hours after a telegram to the family from another son there told that his father died suddenly and that he was bringing the body home. Mr. Durgan was 72 years of age, having been born in Peru July 21, 1850. He went to Saranac Lake 34 years ago and with Robert Ranker opened a store for the sale of general merchandise in a building which was near the Broadway bridge.
