John G. Coogan, high school yearbook John G. Coogan was raised in Saranac Lake, graduating from Saranac Lake High School in 1931 as class president. He lettered in track and field and basketball, and acted in several plays. He kept scrapbooks of his high school years, some excerpts of which appear below, courtesy of his son, Bill Coogan. He died in 2001.
