Malone Gazette, Friday, July 14, 1893

Joseph Otis has donated land at Saranac Junction valued at $500 upon which it is proposed to build a church. The people of the southern end of the county are liberal in support of religious institutions and it is expected that Rev. R. G. McCarthy, who has the matter in hand, will find no trouble in raising the funds necessary for the building.
