Louis H. Zerbe was the manager of a gas station on River Street.  He lived at 60 Petrova Avenue in the 1940s.

Louis H. Zerbe Dies In Hospital Yesterday

Louis H. Zerbe, a long time resident of Saranac Lake, died yesterday evening at the Saranac Lake General Hospital, following a long illness.

Mr. Zerbe, who was born August 27, 1878, in Green Point, Brooklyn, was the son of William and Wilhelmina Sneed Zerbe. For many years he was the manager of a gas station on River Street, in Saranac Lake.

He is survived by his wife, Magdalena, who lives at 60 Petrova avenue; two daughters, Helen Zerbe of Saranac Lake and Freda Zerbe, of New York City; one son, Hilbert Zerbe of Saranac Lake; a sister, Mrs. E. A. Schroeder, of Syracuse, and two brothers, Edward, of Queens Village, L. I., and Frank, of Jamaica, L. I.

There is also one grand-daughter, Josephine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert Zerbe.

The body reposes at the A. Fortune and Co. Funeral Chapel from where there will be Masonic services at 8 o'clock this evening. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Ernest B. Mounsey at 2 p. m. tomorrow in the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the family plot in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
