Marie Dupree Betters Fogarty was associated with the Algonquin Bar. Marie was a devout member of St. Bernard's parish and spent the final years of her great life at the Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid. After the animal shelter moved into her former residence/ business at the Algonquin Bar she was fond of saying that her home has gone to the dogs. She was very proud of all her Dupree family connections and their contributions to the Saranac Lake area.
