Mary Morgan Mulflur came to Saranac Lake with her family when she was eight years old. She married in 1901, and was widowed in 1921. 

As a member or members, William F. Mulflur and his wife, Mary, were named in the sale of Pontiac Club property to the Saranac Lake Boys' Club, Inc., in 1917.

MRS. MULFLUR DIES AT AGE 83

Mrs. Mary Mulflur, 83, of Saranac Lake, widow of William and mother of Dr. Edward Mulflur, died late last evening at Saranac Lake General Hospital. She had been a patient at St. Margaret's Nursing Home at Gabriels until being transferred to the hospital two days ago.

She will be at the Keough and Son Funeral Home until 10 a.m. Wednesday, when a service will be held at St. Bernard's church in Saranac Lake. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery.

Survivors, besides her son, include two other sons, William of New York City, and Walter of St. Sault Marie [sic: Sault Sainte Marie], Ont. There is a sister, Miss Jane Morgan, of Saranac Lake. There are 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Mulflur was born at Peru, November 19, 1877 a daughter of Michael and Mary Morgan. The family, one of the pioneers of this area, moved to Saranac Lake in 1885. Mr. and Mrs. Mulflur were married in Saranac Lake by the Rev. John J. Waters in 1901. Mr. Mulflur died in 1921.

Mrs. Mulflur was very active in Democratic politics in the village, and from 1935 to 1937, served as the Harrietstown tax collector. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Altar and Rosary society.
