Broadway runs across the bottom of this 1902 photograph, with Prospect Avenue rising at right and McComb Street at the top. Notice the truck garden on the Broadway side of McComb, and the plowed fields above. Greene Cottage McComb Street runs from Prospect Avenue southeast to Neil Street on French Hill; it originally ran down to Olive Street, though now the section after Neil Street is a dead end that serves as a driveway for a few houses.

It was likely originally named for Alexander Macomb, of Macomb's Purchase, but has been misspelled on at least one map since 1910.
