SARANAC LAKE — A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernard's Church for Mildred LaPan, 69, who died Tuesday at Saranac Lake General Hospital. Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Keough and Son Memorial Chapels, beginning Friday afternoon. A Scriptural Rosary service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. LaPan was born in Watertown, a daughter of Frederick and Teresa Hoffer Johnson. She was educated in Watertown and graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy with a music background, specializing in piano. She had been an accompanist with several orchestras and chorales in the Watertown area.

On May 28, 1932, she was married to James H. LaPan by Msgr. Creedon in Holy Family Church in Watertown.

She had lived in Saranac Lake for 42 years. Her home was at 14 Forest Hill Avenue. Surviving are her husband and a son, John LaPan of Boston.

Her family requests that friends wishing to remember Mrs. LaPan make contributions to Saranac Lake General Hospital.
