Oliver M. Tromblee (also spelled Trompley) maintained a small house at the Raquette River end of the Sweeney Carry and operated a horse-drawn wagon that carried boats and luggage between the two points. Much later, in 1891, the Sweeney lodge was replaced by the elegant new Wawbeek Hotel. He is buried in Harrietstown Cemetery.
