Rene Gendron was a World War II veteran. He was a son of Donat Gendron of 6 Dorsey Terrace. He played baseball for the Saranac Lake Chiefs (see Baseball). He held a Tent Platform Permit on Lower Saranac Lake. He operated Gendron Lumber. He was very involved with Little League baseball in Saranac Lake and he spent many years coaching and teaching the finer points of the sport to many youngsters during the 1950's to the early 1980's.
