Robert Liddy was a laboratory technician at the Saranac Laboratory and a president of the Saranac Lake Fish and Game Club; he also worked for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. He lived at 58 Lake Flower Avenue.

SARANAC LAKE — Robert E. Liddy, 68, of 58 Lake Flower Avenue died Sunday at his home.

He was born in Bernardsville, New Jersey on May 18, 1907. He was the son of Thomas J. and Sarah A. Patterson-Liddy. His wife, the former Ida Dworak, died in 1961.

Mr. Liddy is survived by his brother, George, and a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Marie) Ike, both of Bernardsville, New Jersey. Mr. Liddy had been a resident of Saranac Lake for 40 years He retired in 1973 from the New York State Department of Conservation at Whiteface. He was a life member and past president of the Saranac Lake Fish and Game Club, where he initiated the hunter training program. He was past president of the Franklin County Federation of Fish and Game Clubs, director and past vice-president of the New York State Conservation Council, and a member of the Adirondack Hunting Club and Snowmobile Club He was employed as a laboratory technician at Trudeau Labs before working for the Conservation Department at Whiteface.

Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. A Bible Vigii will be held Tuesday night after calling hours, A Mass of Resurrection will be held Friday, in Bernardsville. New Jersey, interment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery. Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
