Oliver Queior, Jr. was a Saranac Lake Police Officer for 25 years, Police Chief for three months in 1973. He was a World War II veteran. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Queior, Sr. of 21 Ampersand Avenue.

Oliver J. Queior Jr., 59, Saranac Lake Police Department, died Friday, Oct. 29 at Saranac Lake General Hospital,
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 2 at St. Bernard's Church with the Rev. Ted Gillette officiating. Interment was in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Saranac Lake.
He was born at Constable, N.Y. on June 7, 1923, the son of Oliver J. and Irene Bean Queior Sr., and was a veteran of World War II service in the China-Burma-India Theatre and in North Africa. After the war he served 25 years with the Saranac Lake Police
Department, retiring as chief in 1973. Mr. Queior owned and operated the Oliver Queior Black-topping Co. He was active in Elks Lodge 1508, Moose Lodge-1909, VFW Post 3357, American Legion Post 447 and the Policemen's Benevolent Association. Elks services were held Sunday, Oct. 31.
Surviving are his wife, the former Virginia Reibel of Ray Brook; one son, Timothy L. Queior, Saranac Lake; a daughter, Virginia L. Cunningham of Jacksonville, N.C.; three nephews and a niece, all of Lake Placid.
